Busy, Busy Week

We had a very busy week this week. It didn't start out well, but luckily the bad stuff didn't last long. Monday I was sick with some kind of stomach bug. It was nasty. It ranked right up there with the Disney World disease we all got in May, but this time it was only me who got sick. I was able to get Alex to and from school, but that was it. Christian stayed home with me and took care of himself and helped me with Lauren. Five years old is a great age. Christian is an incredible helper.

Tuesday I was a whole lot better. Yay. Now I can catch up on all the stuff I didn't do the day before. Hahaha. We had to go to the grocery store and Wal Mart. The laundry is very behind schedule.

Wednesday was VERY BUSY. Alex went to school, and Christian had his usual 9 to noon. We also dropped off the Suburban to get the oil changed and some funny noises checked out. While we waited for the time to pick up Christian, Lauren got her FIRST HAIRCUT!!! She didn't get a whole lot cut off, she still has her curls, but the front is under control now and she has little bangs. The new view really highlights the beautiful baby blues.

We picked up Christian and ate some really horrid Mexican food for lunch, then did some Christmas shopping. We were able to get a lot done, I was very happy about that, and we got some really good deals.

We got back to home just in time to pick up Alex and get everyone ready for Christmas pictures at 4. The Christmas pictures, as usual, started 45 minutes late, and were a three ring circus starring Miss Lauren. She could not have been less cooperative. She didn't cry, but she wouldn't stay were she was supposed to or smile. There was not a good picture in the bunch, but I bought some anyway because sometime in the future I would probably regret not buying them. They aren't great, but they're us.

After the pictures it was a Sonic supper at the mall. Yum. I can't eat anything from the mall, but everyone else got fed and I didn't have to cook it or clean it up. And there's more . . .the kids visited Santa!! It was a great time to go, almost no line. Alex looks great in the Santa picture, Christian looks too serious, and Lauren is not smiling. At least she's not screaming. I have a feeling their requests of Santa will be fulfilled, too. . .

Thursday, Alex and Christian went to school and Lauren went to the Dr. for her 15 month check up and 4! shots. She is big and healthy despite the random diarrhea. We are just watching her diet now. No dairy for the princess. After that, more holiday shopping until time to pick up Christian. I able to squeeze in a trip to the library, thankfully. I hate not having something to read.

Friday. only Alex went to school. The rest of us dropped off the gifts we bought for an underprivileged child named Jesus. Another trip to HEB, where Christian scored 91 points from one Buddy Buck in the Buddy Buck machine. In a weeks time he's gotten enough stickers, points to get a blanket an two coffee cups. I'm going to dress him up like a little midget and take him to a casino.

Now it's Saturday. We picked up the Suburban and the kids ate Burger King in the car. Daddy's at poker. Now I have to get the living room ready for the Christmas decorations. Adios, Feliz Navidad, frohe Weinachten, Buon Natale!
